Nathan’s Famous, the world-famous hot dog company, is continuing its campaign for the creation of a hot dog emoji and has created an official petition that supporters can begin signing today at


Nathan’s Famous is driving the #HotDogEmoji campaign socially on Facebook, and Twitter as well as the brand’s website, where fans can also access the petition.

“We were overwhelmed by the fan support to create the #HotDogEmoji so we thought that it was necessary to take the effort further,” said Mike Paribello, Sr. Director of Marketing, Nathan’s Famous. “We decided to champion the petition process and serve as the official voice of fans everywhere. It’s our plan to submit a collective request to Apple and Google once this campaign has concluded.”

Nathan’s Famous to Attempt GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Title for Most Selfies Taken Simultaneously at Busch Stadium in St. Louis


Nathan’s Famous, the iconic hot dog company known as the originator of fun, is set to make a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ official attempt for Most selfies (self-portraits) taken simultaneously on Saturday, May 16 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.


A GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator will be on-site to immediately verify and confirm whether the record is set.


“There is absolutely no better way to kick-off our Original Selfie Sweepstakes than attempting a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for Most selfies taken at one time with our partners at Schnucks Supermarkets and the St. Louis Cardinals,” said Mike Paribello, Sr. Director of Marketing, Nathan’s Famous. “We’re thrilled that eight-time defending National Hot Dog Eating Contest Champion Joey Chestnut will be with us for the attempt and hope we fill the stadium with Cardinals’ fans.

The Original Selfie Sweepstakes officially opens on Monday, May 18 at 12:00 a.m. EDT.
