LEGOLAND® Florida Resort will open its newest land, Heartlake City, on June 26.  The theme park’s newest expansion is based on the popular LEGO Friends product line and is closely modeled after the five LEGO Friends personalities: Olivia, Stephanie, Emma, Mia and Andrea, and their personal interests such as animals, music, nature and fashion.

In honor of their friendships, and in celebration of National Best Friends Day, park guests told Mia which characteristics make the perfect friend. Mia gave each of the first fifty participating kids two tickets to return to Heartlake City with their best friend when Heartlake City officially opens. Mia also personally invited the guests to be among the first to experience the new ride themed to her love of horses, Mia’s Riding Adventure.

Construction is almost complete on Heartlake City, which will be a colorful and vibrant experience offering adventures for all ages. Beyond the new ride, it will include a new interactive show called Friends to the Rescue as well as Stephanie’s News Room and retail stores inside Heartlake Mall.

To continue the experience, LEGOLAND Florida Resort visitors can also book a LEGO Friends room at the LEGOLAND Hotel which offers the only LEGO Friends themed guest rooms in the U.S., and the only LEGO Friends themed suite in the world.

LEGO Friends Revealed as the Final Room Theme at LEGOLAND Hotel at LEGOLAND Florida Resort

LEGOLAND Florida Resort

The only LEGO® Friends rooms in the United States, and the only LEGO Friends suite in the world is coming to LEGOLAND® Hotel at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort.  The announcement came at a New York City event where a curtain dropped and the last of four highly-themed room designs was revealed.

Guests at the event experienced the fourth theme first-hand by stepping into a life-size replica of the children’s sleeping area of the room.  The highly detailed room model included a bunk bed with a trundle bed, TV, LEGO Models, and a treasure chest.  SGA Production Services in Orlando, FL created the replica, closely following the plans for the actual Hotel rooms.

The popular LEGO Friends toy line is also the inspiration for Heartlake City, a new land coming to both LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND® California Resort this summer.  The new land in Florida includes a new ride themed to Mia’s love of horses: Mia’s Riding Adventure, plus a new interactive show called “Friends to the Rescue” as well as Stephanie’s News Room and shops inside Heartlake Mall.

LEGOLAND Hotel is opening on May 15, 2015.  To book a room, visit:  LEGOLANDHotel.com.

Luck is Uncovered at LEGOLAND Parks

LEGOLAND FLORIDA RESORT GROUNDBREAKING OF HEARTLAKE CITY

LEGOLAND® Parks across the nation are feeling very lucky today.  At LEGOLAND® Florida Resort and LEGOLAND® California Resort, Girl Scouts dressed in their customary green sashes and vests assisted in the official groundbreaking for Heartlake City.  They broke through the brick covered ground only to discover four leaf clovers created out of, you guessed it, more LEGO bricks just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

The new land based on the popular LEGO® Friends line of toys is set to open this summer.  This colorful and vibrant new land will offer adventures for all ages.  “We invited the Girl Scouts to help us with this event because we believe they can relate to the LEGO Friends love of adventures, solving problems and having fun,” said Director of Marketing for LEGOLAND Florida Resort Rex Jackson.

Five Girl Scouts lead the event in a numerical representation of the five LEGO Friends characters.  “Our goal is to support girls as they build confidence and develop leadership skills.  Teaming up with LEGOLAND Florida Resort was a great opportunity for these young ladies to proudly represent our organization,” said Jimmy Barringer, Director of Marketing for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.

Heartlake City will include a new ride themed to Mia’s love of horses: Mia’s Riding Adventure, plus a new interactive show called “Friends to the Rescue” as well as Stephanie’s News Room and shops inside Heartlake Mall.
