On Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m (registration begins at 9:30 a.m.), the Santa Paws Holiday Pooch Plunge, presented by Apex Pavers & Pools will take over Sailfish Splash Waterpark, 931 SE Ruhnke, Stuart.
Benefitting the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, the Pooch Plunge is held annually just before the waterpark closes for the winter and gives dogs the chance to swim, splash and romp around in the large swimming pool. Admission is $10 per dog with all proceeds benefiting the shelter animals at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Guests are also welcome to bring a toy or treat for the four-legged friends of House of Hope. There also will be pictures with Santa, a Microchip clinic, music, face painting, a 50/50 raffle, food trucks and more.
This is a “dog only” event — no other pets. Dogs must be at least three months old and the owner must show proof of the dog’s rabies vaccination or a county license (one dog per handler). Dogs must be leashed outside of the swimming area and no retractable leashes are allowed. Owners must clean up after their dogs and dogs that are in heat and overly aggressive and timid dogs should be left at home.
