To celebrate the prestigious 25th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope, The Museum of Discovery and Science and AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater will be showing special presentations of Hubble 3D on the BIGGEST Screen in South Florida on the weekend of April 25 & 26, 2015. Saturday, April 25 show times: 1:55 p.m. & 4:05 p.m. Sunday, April 26 show time at 3:55 p.m.

Hubble has dazzled us with unprecedented views of the cosmos—from the splendor of our celestial neighborhood to galaxies billions of light years away. For the special anniversary weekend at the AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater, located at the Museum of Discovery and Science, audiences will blast off alongside the Atlantis STS-125 crew, witness up-close some of the most challenging spacewalks ever performed, and experience virtual star travel via breath-taking, never-before-seen 3D flights through Hubble imagery. Recounting the amazing journey of the most important scientific instrument since Galileo’s original telescope, Hubble 3Dwill immerse moviegoers in the great wonders and astounding beauty of our universe.

Through the power of IMAX 3D, Hubble 3D will enable moviegoers to journey through distant galaxies to explore the grandeur and mysteries of our celestial surroundings, and accompany space-walking astronauts as they attempt some of the most difficult and important tasks in NASA’s history. The film will offer an inspiring and unique look into the Hubble Space Telescope’s legacy and highlight its profound impact on the way we view the universe and ourselves.

In addition, space aficionados are encouraged to purchase a combo ticket to participate in special Museum activities, such as the “Hubble Telescope Lab”. Guests will peer into space just like Hubble has done for 25 years as they make their  own telescopes to take home and stare off into the “Great Beyond” with.

Museum President/CEO Kim Cavendish states, “We are thrilled to observe the 25th anniversary celebration of the Hubble Space Telescope. For 25 years, this telescope has allowed viewers to roam through the galaxy. Hubble 3D provides moviegoers with a one-of-kind look at this great space marvel.”
