For nearly a decade, the talented student performers, set designers, and make-up artists at the G Star School of the Arts in suburban West Palm Beach have put on a frightfully good haunt that rivals some of the professional fear factories that seemingly rise from the grave every fall.
“Now, with our NINTH YEAR beginning, we have further honed our skills and have improved the event even more, making us the most unique haunted house in America! Additionally, we’re again staging our primary attraction in the air-conditioned G-Star Sound Stage,” stated director George Colavecchio. “We also would like to announce the re-introduction of our own dance squad – the G-Star Scream Team or, as we refer to them, the G-Star Cadavers!!! G-Star students are a breed apart and X-Scream Halloween 2014 is just one more way they’ll continue to prove it!”
In 2014, the haunt runs for four weekends in October, and gives terrified visitors a glimpse into the centuries long conflict between vampires and werewolves.
“Vampires and Lycans sharing a planet? It cannot be. For centuries these creatures have sought to exterminate each other. It is for this reason that the Vampire Covens look to each Tetrad with eager anticipation. Historically there were no tetrads between 1600 A.D. and 1900 A.D. 300 years of growth for the Lycan population and almost total Annihilation of the Vampire Covens. But now it is the covens turn! Let “The Hunt” begin…”
In addition to the vampire and werewolf themed haunts, this year’s event features an all new haunted amusement park, compete with “Ghoulie Golf,” bounce houses, thrill rides, and concessions of all kinds. It also includes a special behind the scenes theatrical presentation that is included with your paid admission.
The scariness takes place on October 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31 and Nov. 1. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with the last ticket being sold at 11 p.m. Online ticket sales begin on 9/29/14.
Remember that Halloween is a time for fun and frivolity. It is a time to come out of your shell, and to acknowledge the mischievous spirit that resides within all of us.
